We first met Buzz & Maureen at the marina in Hualtuco, Mexico as we waited for a weather window to cross the Gulf of Tehuanapec to Central America. We were lucky enough to spend the season in Ecuador and a little bit of the following year in Panama with Buzz & Maureen. They had previously done a circumnavigation in the 70's and 80's and had lots of great stories. This was their "Encore" voyage, and we were sad to say goodbye to them when we headed out of Panama.
Dressing - Mix and bring to a boil:
1 cup cooking oil
1 cup vinegar
2 Tbsp celery seed
1 Tbsp salt
3 lb green cabbage, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
2 onions, chopped
1 cup sugar
Pour dressing over veggies and stir until well mixed.
Store in a refrigerator or in a cool place
in an air tight container. Let stand for three days.

the container every few hours. And, we rarely wait 3 days
to start eating it.
