It was a rainy day in Barcelona for just a quick overnight stay

Meals all served family style, eat with your fingers and bread
The evening meal is served well after 8:pm and is soup and figs and chebakia , Oh and hard boiled eggs dipped in salt and cumin

This was fish lunch out with Khadija and Lynn at Belle d' Orient

And now we go to the Hammam for a good scrub
Inside the hammam you sit on the bench and pour water on yourself to soften your skin
Then you lay on a mat on the floor and two women scrub the entire top layer of skin off every body part

This is a mitt they use, Khadija gifted me one to take home. It feels about like 120 grit sandpaper

The next day another amazing meal that Faouzia has cooked
Beef shortribs and prunes, plus all the normal accoutrements
A huge collection of freshly ground spices coming home for me and Lynn to share
Sister number four (Jalila) brings sweetened couscous for evening tea. Those are almond slivers on top and it was delisious

This is the old school where Lynn used to teach, We can only see the walls and outside
Off to lunch with another former student and his wife. This is ae event center where wedding ceremonies take place

The restaurant has a pool and is usually packed but we were there on Friday which is prayer day
And here is the beginning of lunch, with at least 7 different types of salad

His English was not very good but she spoke very well
The BBQ sampler had some of everything and it was so good
And of course we all get fries and the other standard dishes that come with every meal

All rooms are different bright colors with custom built furniture and huge pillows

I had to sneak a pic of all four sisters - they wanted to be made up and prepared for a proper photo

And now we're heading for the train to Fez

The destination is Tangier but we will disembark in Fez
