Quatsino Sound

After a long day across Nawhitti Bar and around Cape Scott this lighthouse at Cape Parkins is a welcome sight
Does this bag make by eyes look blue
A pair of eagles on watch above our dock at Winter Harbor
Blurry pic but the look on their faces
Amelia again finding any sun spot on the boat
Heading up Quatsino Sound
On a beautiful sunny summer day
Typical Pacific NW forest but lots of logging
Rob at the helm on another calm day
This is a beautiful sound with lots of bays to explore
It's going to blow a gale outside around the Brooks Peninsula so we have a week to explore here
Somebody miscalculated the abilities of this barge. When we came by a few days later there was a new barge loading up the logs
Heading into Julian Cove
A tiny cove with room for a handful of boats
And Amelia is waiting in the sun spot
Logzilla, who we last saw in Barkley Sound
Ahhh, hammock time
Seriously good
Beautiful in every direction
The kittens are checking out the new neighborhood

Anchored in Varney Bay after the Quatsino Narrows and going aground here. All you see is too shallow for our 6'2" draft.
